Title:
Wekiva Island PD Developer’s Commitment Agreement – Consider approval of the Developer’s Commitment Agreement for the Wekiva Island Planned Development on approximately 5.5 acres, located at the northern terminus of Miami Springs Road; (Z2017-52) (William Weinaug, Applicant) District3 – Constantine (Kathy Hammel, Project Manager)

Motion/Recommendation:
1. Recommend the Board of County Commissioners approve the Developer’s Commitment Agreement for the Wekiva Island Planned Development for 5.5 acres, located at the northern terminus of Miami Springs Road; or

2. Recommend the Board of County Commissioners deny the Developer’s Commitment Agreement for the Wekiva Island Planned Development for 5.5 acres, located at the northern terminus of Miami Springs Road; or

3. Continue the request to a time and date certain.
Background:

On October 23, 2018, the Board of County Commissions approved a Major Amendment to the Wekiva Island Planned Development (PD) which is reflected in the PD Development Order No. 17-20500038. As a condition of the approval, the Developer’s Commitment Agreement was required to be brought back to the Board of County Commissioners for approval.

 

The Developer’s Commitment Agreement must reflect the requirements of the approved PD Development Order (SCLDC Sec. 30.446). The Developer’s Commitment Agreement has been reviewed by the Development Review Committee and has been found to be in compliance with the Land Development Code, the Comprehensive Plan and the PD Development Order. Certain conditions of the Development Order are further defined by the Developer’s Commitment Agreement to describe implementation processes.

Staff Recommendation:
Recommend the Board of County Commissioners approve the Developer’s Commitment Agreement for the Wekiva Island PD for 5.5 acres, located at the northern terminus of Miami Springs Road.
