PS-9351-14/RTB provides engineering design and environmental permitting, acquisition assistance, and post design services for Seminole County’s Lake Monroe Loop Trail, which is 3.5 miles long and starts at Sanford’s Riverwalk, Phase 1, and then heads south along Mellonville Avenue ±0.75 miles to Celery Avenue where the trail then turns east along Celery Avenue for ±2.75 miles and ends at the S.R. 415 trail.
The Public Works/Engineering Division is requesting the increase to the Estimated Term Usage for the following reasons: The estimated term usage amount was done six years ago, since then costs have significantly increased. Due to the complexity of the project is was difficult to estimate the engineer's level of effort, this section is the longest trail section without a corridor. The original cost estimate did not include engineering fees to assist with property acquisition. This increase will allow for Final and Post Design Services to be performed by the Consultant.
Original Board Approved Estimate $ 400,000.00
Requested Term Increase $ 900,000.00
Revised Board Approved Term Amount $1,300,000.00
Authorization for the performance of services by the Consultant under this Agreement will be
in the form of written Work Orders issued and executed by the County, and signed by the Consultant. The work and dollar amount for each Work Order will be within the constraints of the approved project budget and negotiated on an as-needed basis for the project.
