| | | | | | | | | Background: | Seminole County Code (Code) Chapter 235 authorizes the Board of County Commissioners (Board) to regulate the collection and disposal of waste in unincorporated areas of Seminole County (County). Perma-Fix of Florida, Inc. has complied with the requirements set forth in the Code and has requested a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) from the County to provide commercial waste collection services in unincorporated areas of the County. Insurance information in compliance with Code Chapter 235, has been provided from the company.
Firms that collect only Construction and Demolition Debris, Special Wastes or Recyclables are not required to execute a non-exclusive commercial solid waste collection franchise agreement with the County. These firms are required to obtain COPCNs from the County. |
