Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the subrecipient agreement for Hair in Motion of NY (HIMONY) Apprenticeship Training Program in the amount of $30,000 utilizing Community Services Block Grant COVID (CSBG-CV) funding. Countywide (Carrie Longsworth, Division Manager)

Seminole County Community Services has received $390,057 in Community Services Block Grant COVID (CSBG-CV) funding from the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) to assist low income individuals impacted by COVID-19. Community Services is subcontracting a portion of these funds to local Non-Profit organizations. HIMONY will provide training and job placement services for low income Seminole County residents impacted by COVID-19 and are seeking a new career in the field of Cosmetology. The Program will provide scholarships, hands on training and the opportunity for entrepreneurship and job development.
