On May 6, 2008, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a Resolution amending Section 4.6 of the Seminole County Administrative Code to establish the Committee on Aging (Committee). Members were appointed to the Committee in accordance with the guidelines established by the Code. The initial term of the members are for three (3) years. At the end of the initial term, members will be eligible for re-appointment for one (1) consecutive term. If a member is appointed to complete a term due to vacancy, that member shall serve one (1) additional three (3) year term. All terms will run from January to December.
The Committee recommends the following new appointments for approval:
Housing Industry – Shannon Young, Executive Director of Seminole County Housing Authority. Ms. Young will fill the housing industry representative commencing on October 20, 2021 and ending December 31, 2024 at which time she could be reappointed for an additional three (3) year term.
Local Senior Resident – Ann Funk, Seminole County senior resident. She will be replacing Pamela Robinson, who will be unable to complete her term that began January 1, 2020. Ms. Funk will fill this vacancy commencing on October 20, 2021 and ending December 31, 2022 at which time her initial three (3) year term will begin on January 1, 2023.
