BID-604175-21/CAR will provide for all labor, materials, equipment and documents necessary to construct a mountain bike skills track for the Markham Woods Trail Head. The skills track shall include a variety of skill level obstacles that must be constructed from concrete, metal, wood, rock, clay, and dirt.
The contractor shall provide standard details for each obstacle to be installed. The skills track must be constructed following the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) standards as referenced in Trail Solutions: IMBA’s guide to building bicycling courses. The contractor shall be a member of the Professional Trail Builders Association and have a minimum of 5 years in building bicycle courses.
This project was publicly advertised and the County received one (1) submittal in response to the solicitation. The Review Committee comprised of Jeromy Mynes, Project Manager II; William Pandos, Greenways and Natural Lands Division Manager; and Richard Welty, Project Manager II reviewed the submittals. Consideration was given to experience and cost of the project. The Review Committee recommends award of the project to the lowest priced, responsive, responsible bidder, American Ramp Company, Joplin, MO.
The Agreement will take effect on the date of its execution by the County and will continue for a period of one (1) year.
Authorization for services by the Contractor under this Agreement must be in the form of Purchase Orders issued and executed by the County. The estimated annual usage of this contract is $126.999.93.
