| | | | | | | | | Background: | The State of Florida Division of Emergency Management through the State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP) provides funding to State and local government to strengthen preparedness and response capabilities for homeland security events. SHSGP grant is used to fund WebEOC. Seminole County is the hub for the regional emergency management system. Jurisdictions supported by this initiative include Brevard, Lake, Martin, Orange, City of Orlando, Osceola, St. Lucie, and Volusia Counties. WebEOC supports situational awareness, resource requests, incident planning, special event tracking and response, and multi-agency coordination.
This grant is awarded yearly to the County from the Federal Homeland Security with a pass-through to the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management. There is no matching requirement for this grant. BAR #22-008 in the amount of $24,960 will establish budget expenses for this grant. |
