Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Resolution implementing Budget Amendment Request (BAR) #22-007 through the County's Miscellaneous Grant Fund in the amount of $10,000 in acceptance of the Duke Energy Foundation grant award for Seminole County's COVID-19 Economic Recovery Marketing Program.  Countywide (Timothy Jecks, Deputy CFO/Budget Division Manager) Requesting Dept/Program: Administration/Economic Development

Seminole County received $10,000 from Duke Energy Foundation to develop a COVID-19 Economic Recovery Marketing Program for the County in recovery from the pandemic.  The opportunity exists for Seminole County to prepare an integrated social media campaign and development of marketing collateral to mitigate the negative impacts to local businesses. The County's Economic Development department will use these funds to educate Seminole County businesses on all resources and opportunities; create expansion opportunities for current businesses in order to increase job growth; and develop a social media profile where local businesses can interact and provide insight into their needs.

This is a new award that the County has not received in the past, with no local match.
