Background:

The Wekiva Basin Stormwater and TMDL Services Project (CIP #01785376) will include engineering services to be done to develop water quality models and best management practices to meet the goals of the Wekiva Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL) Basin Management Plan (BMAP), as well as to assess flooding and improve levels of service. This project encompasses the following basins: Wekiva, Little Wekiva and Yankee Lake and includes both surface water and groundwater analyses. The original engineering estimate didn't include the additional groundwater assessments and more detailed sediment transport analysis in the Little Wekiva and Yankee Lake Basins. Additional funds will be needed to perform the additional scope of work tasks and includes added critical survey data. There is $300K currently available for this project. Work Order #5 with Geosyntec is estimated at $690K plus a $15K contingency. Public Works will need a total of $705K (cost table attached) and will need $404K from reserves to cover this cost.

The attached BAR will allocate $404,210 from 2001 Infrastructure Sales Tax Fund. Current reserves in this fund are budgeted at $9.6M.
