During the October 12th, Public Hearing the Board of County Commissioners directed staff to further revise the Natural Land Ordinance and bring the changes back to the Board at a future meeting date. Changes as directed by the Board have been incorporated into the Natural Lands Ordinance as per the attached draft.
Specifically, the proposed change amends Part 3 (Natural Lands) of Chapter 190 “Parks and Recreation” of the Seminole County Code with the following: amending the title of Section 190.85 to Disposition and Rezone of Designated Natural Lands by the Board of County Commissioners; adding a new Section 190.85(b) Requiring a Supermajority vote by the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners to Rezone Natural Lands that are zoned as Public Lands and Institutions (PLI) to a different zoning district; providing other clarification and revisions; providing for codification in the Seminole County Code; providing for severability; and providing an effective date.
