Ordinance amending Seminole County Code Chapter 20, Animal and Fowl - Approve changes to Seminole County Code 20: Animal and Fowl to include removal of the Animal License / Tag program. (Alan Harris, Chief Administrator) 

Seminole County Animal Control Board met in June 2022 to discuss changes to the County Code 20: Animal Fowl to include removal of the animal license / tag program.  The animal tag / license program was useful prior to the invention and use of microchips and the cyber connectivity to exchange rabies vaccination information between veterinarian offices and animal services agencies. Seminole County Animal Services no longer finds this program to be of use to the community and therefore brought this to the Animal Control Board for review.  The Animal Control Board unanimously approved the removal of this program and recommending sending it to the Board of County Commission for change to County Code.  

Staff recommends the Board approve changes to the Seminole County Code 20: Animal and Fowl.
